Don’t Put Out the Burning Bush is a collection of papers first given at a conference on Christian worship and preaching in a complex world. There are many things about the post-modern world of the early 21st century to challenge Christian preachers, and these challenges provide the immediate context for the book. How is the light, the fire of the gospel to be communicated today? Christians differ among themselves not only about the best way to respond in the contemporary situation but also about the nature of the relationship between worship and preaching.
