A moving story of love and hope as a sailor and his wife watch their son grow.

A sailor and his wife, after losing three sons to the waves, flee inland to start a new life. Upon the birth of a new son, they plant a tree and as he grows, the tree comes to symbolise his life. When the son leaves home, the couple watch the tree for signs of his fortune. As the tree starts to die, the couple begin to lose hope for their son, but one day the tree is luscious once again ... their son has returned!
