BEHOLD THE LAMB is a collection of songs for young people for use during the seasons of Lent and Easter, with songs especially appropriate for Holy Week and the Triduum. It contains a variety of music appropriate for many different ages and grade levels from primary through high school. The songs can be used at eucharistic liturgies and other celebrations and events such as stations of the cross or Lenten reconciliation services.

This music book contains keyboard accompaniment with guitar chords for ease of performance, as well as solo instrument parts to enhance their presentation. Also included is a series of readings adapted from scripture. These selections are appropriate for use during the eucharistic liturgy and can greatly enhance the Liturgy of the Word. They may also be used as meditative and reflective readings which can be used during prayer services, ritual celebrations, and in the classroom.

Music adds to the presentation of the readings, and many of the selections have been written to be used with songs in this collection. The authors suggest selecting several of the readings, then weaving them together with songs in this collection to form a Lenten/Easter prayer service or choral program.
