Alan Robinson was born and raised on a farm in southwest New South Wales. Although a city dweller for more than 3 decades themes from his rural roots creep though his artwork. He learnt much during time spent at Randwick Tech in the seventies and at Willoughby Art Workshop in the eighties. He is married to Sharyn and after 16 years on Sydney's Northern Beaches, recently relocated to Beenleigh, Queensland. "Do you Know Millie?" is the first children's picture book he has illustrated. With three grown-up sons and three grandchildren, so far, he hopes it will not be the last.
